Lidl Malta confirmed that its shelves are full once more and deliveries back on schedule after last weekend’s bad weather disrupted the supply chain.
“Following the temporary delivery delays caused by last weekend’s adverse weather, we’re happy to confirm that all shelves are now fully stocked and deliveries are running as usual,” Lidl Malta said.
“Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to welcoming you in-store.”
The supply chain disruptions shone a light on Malta’s heavy reliance on imported food.
Għaqda Bdiewa Attivi, an NGO representing local farmers, said the temporary suspension of the Malta–Sicily catamaran service due to bad weather had knock-on effects.
