After two long pandemic years and general chaos across the global economy, a feeling of apathy can undoubtedly be felt at workplaces across a variety of sectors.

Rising costs and the need to make up for lost business during the height of the pandemic, and on the consumer side, people seeing their wages lasting less and less has left a tense atmosphere.

It is of little surprise that when one man met an innovative bartender who sought to find a elegant solution after noticing he’s run out of take-away trays left its mark on one beachgoer, who took to social media to share the creative solution.

Mattias Hagman, an SEO director at EBET’s Malta office on Sunday shared how he was enjoying a lazy Saturday at Pretty Bay in Birzebbuga. Upon grabbing some refreshments, the bartender realised he was out of take-away trays.

“But, instead of letting me leave without a tray, he created one from a milk carton,” Mattias shared with his LinkedIn followers.

“I love creativity in the workplace,” he concluded.

Indeed, as Malta – together with many other nations, grapples with worker shortages, disgruntled clients, rising costs and prices, and the general fatigue the pandemic, and now the war in Ukraine has brought, stories of creativity at work and taking initiative are being received particularly well.
