Malta International Airport reveals €4.5 million priority guest terminal

A new milestone in Malta’s aviation and tourism sectors was marked with the inauguration of a €4.5 million investment at Malta International Airport. The newly refurbished priority guest terminal, officially opened in 2024, aims to enhance the island’s appeal to high-value travellers and strengthen its global connectivity.

The state-of-the-art terminal includes five private suites designed to host up to 34 guests at a time. The facility combines luxury with sustainability, featuring expansive glass façades, skylights, and natural lighting to reduce energy consumption while creating a welcoming, airy environment.

A key highlight of the terminal is its culinary offering, with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Meals are prepared by a dedicated chef across two kitchens, ensuring a fresh and authentic Maltese dining experience.

In 2024, the priority terminal contributed €6.6 million to the airport’s revenue; an indicator of the growing demand for premium travel services.

The terminal is an integral part of Malta’s broader Vision 2050, which prioritises sustainable growth and high-value tourism.
