Finalists from MasterChef Malta Season 2 are joining forces with the db Foundation to host two charity dinners at LOA Restaurant in St Paul’s Bay. All proceeds will be going to the Karl Vella Foundation, providing support to families dealing with illness or loss.

The fundraising dinners will take place on Wednesday 28th May and Wednesday 4th June, both starting at 8:00 PM, at LOA Restaurant and will feature a specially curated three-course menu prepared by MasterChef Malta finalists Nicholas, Florina, and Christina.

Guests will be treated to an evening of culinary creativity paired with free-flowing wines and mineral water, all for a good cause.

Each dinner is priced at €80 per person, with the full amount being donated to the Karl Vella Foundation – an organisation that supports children and families experiencing serious illness or bereavement. All the costs of the event will be covered by the db Group.

Founded on the legacy of Karl Vella who lost his battle with cancer in 2014, the Karl Vella Foundation offers free psychological support and provides a safe haven for families to find comfort, share their stories, and forge connections with others who understand their experiences. It has supported more than 350 grieving adults and 700 children with a range of services.

“The Karl Vella Foundation does invaluable work in the community, working with hundreds of individuals to navigate their emotions during tough times, build resilience, and regain a sense of stability. We are proud to be empowering people who have dedicated their lives to creating a meaningful impact in society and helping those experiencing the most hardship,” said db Foundation chairperson Sandra Sladden.

A dinner organised last year by the three top finalists of MasterChef Season 1 raised €12,469 for the Ursuline Sisters.

These events form part of the db Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society through impactful initiatives.

The venue, LOA, offers South American fusion cuisine, and features on the Michelin Guide for Malta.

Limited seating is available, and reservations are required in advance. Bookings can be made via the LOA Malta website.

For more information or to inform the organisers of any dietary requirements, guests may contact LOA on +356 7979 7203 or via email at loamanager@lifestyle-grp.com.
