Motors Inc., a leading automotive distributor in Malta, has announced its new role as the official local importer of Leapmotor, an emerging electric vehicle (EV) brand. This partnership signals a significant development in Malta’s shift towards sustainable mobility, as Leapmotor introduces its cutting-edge electric vehicles to the Maltese market.

The collaboration between Motors Inc. and Leapmotor is part of a broader international expansion strategy by Leapmotor International, which aims to establish the brand as a key player in the global EV market. This strategic partnership marks an exciting new chapter in sustainable mobility for Malta, bringing innovative and affordable electric vehicles to customers.

Leapmotor, a joint venture between global automaker Stellantis and Leapmotor, is a technology-driven company based in Hangzhou, China. With a strong focus on intelligent driving, electric motor control, and battery system development, Leapmotor has rapidly become a major force in the global automotive industry. The brand is known for its commitment to innovation, boasting industry-leading technologies such as the first mass-produced Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology and the unique Eight-in-One Electric Drive System.

The Leapmotor C10 SUV

Motors Inc. plans to introduce two flagship models from Leapmotor to the Maltese market: the C10 SUV and the T03 urban commuter. Over the next three years, Leapmotor is expected to launch two new models annually, further expanding its lineup.

The C10 SUV is Leapmotor’s first global product, designed to meet international standards for safety and design. Built on Leapmotor’s self-developed LEAP3.0 technology architecture, the C10 features advanced electric technology, including a central integrated electronic and electrical architecture, Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology, and a state-of-the-art intelligent cockpit. It is a family-friendly D-segment vehicle offering a premium driving experience, with a 420 km WLTP range. The C10 has received numerous accolades, including the 2023 International CMF Design Award, the 2024 Gold Award from the French Design Awards (FDA), and the 2024 Gold Award from the US MUSE Design Awards.

The T03, a compact five-door urban commuter, offers a stylish design and a comfortable driving experience. With a 265 km WLTP range, the T03 provides excellent interior space for its A-segment class and has been ranked No. 1 in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for small battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

“We are thrilled to bring Leapmotor’s innovative electric vehicles to Malta,” said Matthew Fenech, CEO of Motors Inc. “This partnership aligns with our commitment to providing sustainable, high-quality mobility solutions to our customers. Leapmotor’s advanced technology and dedication to excellence make them the perfect partner for Motors Inc., and we are confident that these vehicles will resonate well with the Maltese market. We believe the price-quality proposition will be unbeatable.”

As the official Leapmotor importer in Malta, Motors Inc. says it is committed to providing exceptional service and support to local customers, from vehicle purchase to after-sales care.
