Artist James Vella Clark will be exhibiting his latest collection of abstract expressionist works at FORM’s home showroom located in Valley Road, Birkirkara.

The reason behind the “bold departure” from the traditional gallery setting, Mr Vella Clark explains, is to ignite a conversation about the intersection of art and living spaces.

Themed ‘NEW FORMS’, the exhibition of 16 large new paintings on canvas will be inaugurated later this November, inviting viewers to “rediscover how art can seamlessly integrate into personal spaces to offer daily reminders of the enduring beauty in our lives.”

Drawing inspiration from the words of French poet Charles Baudelaire, who defined being modern as the ability to capture the spirit of one’s era and impact contemporaries through art, Mr Vella Clark has embarked on a new journey “to encapsulate new forms of expression within the context of today’s current societal shifts and transitions.”

“Exhibiting my work in a home interiors showroom might seem unconventional but with this exhibition at Form I want to elevate the way we perceive art in our homes as an immersive experience that resonates deeply with the essence of our times,” Mr Vella Clark said.

He added that these works are not only about the continuous pursuit of artistic freedom “but should also serve as a testament to the enduring beauty of art in an ever-changing world and an invitation to acknowledge that the freedom that art brings with it, is best embraced in the freedom of our homes.”

FORM is a family-run company established in 1947 and incorporated in 1976. Its product portfolio today covers furniture and furnishings for all areas of the home.

“This enduring commitment to excellence has solidified FORM’s position as a trusted name in the world of home interiors as we embark on this new chapter for our business, we are proud to be hosting [Mr Vella Clark]’s work in our space, where we both share a common vision and passion for creating exceptional living environment,” Marketing Manager at FORM, Cristina Galea says.
