The Malta Environment Foundation (MEF) is set to host A Night of Wonder on Friday 22nd May – a fundraising evening marking 100 years of renowned broadcaster and natural historian Sir David Attenborough and his contribution to environmental awareness and conservation.
The event will take place at BirdLife Malta’s Salina Nature Park building and is expected to welcome around 140 guests.
According to MEF, the evening aims to bring together entrepreneurs, environmentalists and supporters of conservation while raising funds for local environmental initiatives across the Maltese Islands.
Guests attending the event will enjoy live music, documentary projections featuring Sir David Attenborough’s work, finger food, and complimentary drinks throughout the evening. A wildlife-themed photo booth and raffle will also form part of the event, with prizes including a five-night stay in Uganda as well as luxury hotel stays in Malta and London.
The event’s dress code theme is “Inspired by the Wild”.
MEF said that all proceeds raised during the evening will go towards supporting local environmental NGOs and grassroots conservation projects through its regranting programme. Thirty per cent of proceeds will also support BirdLife Malta as event collaborators.
Founded in 2023, Malta Environment Foundation works to support environmental initiatives and collaboration across Malta. The foundation stated that it has so far supported more than 15 environmental projects, directing over €170,000 towards NGO-led conservation initiatives.
