The Gozo Ministry has launched a work trial scheme for Gozitan youths, aimed at introducing young people and students to the world of work, while helping them make more informed career choices.

The scheme allows them to gain valuable experience with private entities and non-governmental organizations during the summer.

Gozo Minister Camilleri said that “through this scheme, we are continuing to invest in Gozitan youths by providing them with a concrete opportunity to gain work experience before making important career decisions. The Work Trial Scheme for Youths not only helps young people develop their skills, but also gives them the chance to better understand the expectations and realities of the workplace. The fact that this scheme has been operating since 2018 and continues to improve year after year demonstrates our commitment to providing quality opportunities that prepare the younger generation for the future.”

Through this scheme, participants will receive an allowance of €120 per week, up to a maximum of €600 over a five-week period.
