KM Malta Airlines is set to expand its route network with a new direct service between Malta International Airport and iGA Istanbul Airport, launching on 2nd June 2025.
The airline will operate four weekly flights during summer, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while in winter, the service will run three times a week, on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
The route will be served by KM Malta Airlines’ Airbus A320neo fleet, offering both Business and Economy class, with a total seating capacity of 180 passengers per flight. This will provide up to 1,440 return seats per week. The service will also benefit from a code-sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines, enabling passengers to connect effortlessly to a vast network of international and domestic destinations via Istanbul.
This latest addition further strengthens KM Malta Airlines’ European network, which currently includes direct flights to key cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, and Zurich.
With the introduction of the Malta-Istanbul route, travellers can look forward to greater connectivity, convenience, and access to one of the world’s most dynamic aviation hubs.
