The Malta Chamber of SMEs has expressed its support for Malta Vision 2050, emphasizing the necessity of integrating Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) into the nation’s sustainable economic future.

The Chamber highlights that SMEs constitute over 99 per cent of all enterprises in Malta, with 97.8 per cent employing fewer than 50 people, underscoring their pivotal role in driving economic activity, job creation, and community support. ​

To ensure the effectiveness of Malta Vision 2050, the SME Chamber advocates for the involvement of industry experts in its development and implementation. It identifies key areas where SMEs can significantly contribute, “particularly in the realms of innovation and technology, sustainable practices, skill development and training.”

Concluding its statement, the Malta Chamber of SMEs stated that it remains dedicated to collaborating with Government bodies, industry stakeholders, and the broader community to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of Malta Vision 2050.
