Melita Limited has introduced a new service called StellarVoice, which uses Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) technology to improve the quality of mobile calls made indoors. The service is aimed at addressing situations where mobile coverage is weak or inconsistent, such as in buildings with thick walls, basements, or offices where signals struggle to reach.

With StellarVoice, calls are placed and received using a phone’s regular dialler, without requiring a separate app. The system is designed to switch automatically between WiFi and mobile networks during calls, allowing conversations to continue without interruption.

The service is available across all of Melita’s postpaid mobile plans and can be activated by enabling WiFi calling in the settings of most modern iPhone and Android devices.

Melita has also introduced what it calls an “Indoor Call Guarantee,” positioning StellarVoice as a tool to ensure more consistent and reliable communication for its users.
