Dr Beverly Cutajar - The Remarkable Collective

Two decades ago, when talent development was still an emerging idea and leadership and organisational culture had yet to become mainstream talking points, Beverly Cutajar faced a defining moment.

Having been made redundant twice during a recession, she found herself at a crossroads. Her response was a bold one: “I couldn’t find what I wanted. So I took the plunge and decided to start something of my own.”

That conviction, a deep belief that people could be developed into stronger leaders, better decision-makers, and more resilient professionals, gave rise to Think Talent.

This first venture was dedicated to helping individuals and organisations grow both personally and professionally, laying the groundwork for a disruption in Malta’s human capital landscape.

The Remarkable Collective ecosystem: Four distinct brands, one unified vision

The first venture quickly expanded. Five years after launching Think Talent, Dr Cutajar in tandem with Rachel Pool, co-founded Ceek Talent, strategically expanding the focus into Malta’s recruitment and talent acquisition.

The growth didn’t stop there. In 2017, Dr Cutajar established the Think Talent Institute, which today offers over 50 accredited programmes designed to strengthen skills across industries. This was complemented by the expansion of Think&Consult, a consultancy branch which brings together a network of trusted partners, each contributing unique expertise to help organisations strengthen their strategy, leadership, processes and culture.

The insight was clear: talent development, recruitment and organisational growth are deeply interconnected. This realisation made it essential to bring these complementary areas together under a unified vision, an ecosystem where each brand plays a distinct role in developing people, strengthening organisations, and shaping the future of work.

This vision culminated in the launch of The Remarkable Collective (TRC) in January 2025, creating a unified ecosystem of four brands with a shared goal. Mike Roberts assumed the role of Group CEO, alongside Rachel Pool, co-founder of CEEK, as Group COO.

The mission is simple yet powerful: to support businesses in hiring the right people, developing future leaders, and scaling sustainably.

The Philosophy: Leaders are made, not born

At the heart of Dr Cutajar’s vision is a rejection of notion that leadership is purely innate. “Most leadership traits can be learned,” she asserts. “The key is having the right mindset and being open to growth. With that foundation, people can grasp what it means to lead, craft a vision, and influence others in meaningful ways.”

This perspective is especially relevant in Malta, where family-run enterprises constitute a major part of the business environment. Talented individuals often transition into leadership roles quickly due to inheritance or circumstance rather than structured preparation. While their technical ability may be strong, their leadership capacity is often underdeveloped.

“Our aim is to help people think differently,” she says. “To equip them with the right attitude, knowledge and skills to make meaningful, sustainable changes in their organisations. We help people find a sense of purpose.”

Through accredited leadership development programs, executive coaching, consultancy, recruitment and focused initiatives, The Remarkable Collective helps clients build resilience, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and the capacity to drive transformation by design, not by default.

Values in action: Humility & people before profit

For Dr Cutajar, the company’s core values of Humility, Family First, Doing the Right Thing and People Before Profit are not merely marketing slogans. They are the Organisational Culture Shaping principles that guide every decision.

“I see humility as a core value. It keeps you grounded and open to learning. Disruption comes from a place of humility. When leaders remain open, they allow growth to happen.”

“We also concentrate on recruiting the right people and ensure they are fairly rewarded. We focus on building strong foundations. “When you have the right team in place, success naturally flows,” she explains. This approach highlights the driving principles behind their success and their dedication to retaining top talent.

As the company continued to grow, the need to strengthen internal systems became paramount to ensure growth didn’t dilute quality or purpose. As Dr Cutajar explains, “Structure is the foundation that allows people to thrive. Your employees are your greatest asset, and retaining them depends on a culture of clarity, purpose, and support.”

The Eight-Pillar approach for strategic HR consulting

Malta’s business environment is experiencing rapid change, with international competition raising expectations. Many local enterprises remain constrained by siloed thinking.

This is where The Remarkable Collective’s eight-pillar approach comes in: a holistic model supporting businesses with specialised recruitment, leadership development, and strategic HR and business consulting.

“We help companies position themselves on a global scale. “When you bring us on board, you are able to focus on your core business while we strengthen the people building it. Our goal is to be a strategic partner who drives growth, not a cost on the balance sheet.”

The Next chapter: Humility and global expansion

Today, The Remarkable Collective is evolving again, setting its sights on international expansion. The vision of Dr Cutajar is to progress professional standards across the national and eventually the international business ecosystem.

Always with The Remarkable Collective’s core purpose at heart: that of helping people and organisations become better, more grounded, more self-aware, more strategic, and ultimately more impactful.
