Two armed men entered a gambling outlet in San Gwann on Monday night, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

In a statement, police said the robbery took place at around 11.45pm at Triq in-Naxxar, San Gwann.

From initial investigations, it transpired that two masked men, armed with a gun, entered the outlet and proceeded to steal cash from the register, after which they fled the scene.

Present in the shop at the time was a 30-year-old cashier and a 24-year-old client. They suffered no injuries.

Police are still searching for the two men involved in the robbery.
