Employees who are dissatisfied with their jobs are not only disengaged at work but are actively discouraging their closest friends and family from shopping where they work, according to BRND WGN founder and CEO Peter-Jan Grech, quoting from a recent study conducted by Zampa Partners & Talexio.

In a post shared to LinkedIn, Mr Grech says the research reveals a direct correlation between employee satisfaction, brand loyalty, and business success, with Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) acting as a critical indicator. Alarmingly, employees with very low eNPS ratings not only refuse to recommend their workplace to others but also struggle to serve customers with enthusiasm.

A key takeaway from the study is the power of company values. Employees who are well-versed in their organisation’s core values tend to score significantly higher on both eNPS and brand eNPS metrics, demonstrating that internal culture directly impacts external brand perception and, ultimately, sales performance.

These insights will be explored in greater detail at the upcoming event “Beyond Employee Satisfaction: The True Value Drivers in Retail”, taking place on 19th February at 8:30am.

The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Kris Bartolo, with speakers including Peter Grech, (CEO at BRND WGN), Abigail Agius Mamo (Business Management Coach), Josef Said (CEO at Expedition42), and Nick Spiteri Paris (CEO at Bigbon Group). The conversation will delve into “The Link Between Brand Equity and Employee Satisfaction,” offering business leaders in retail insights on improving workplace culture and, in turn, customer experience.
