Fast & Furious star Jason Statham is currently in Malta shooting his latest major film, Mutiny.

Mr Statham, widely recognised for his role as Shaw in the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as for his appearances in The Meg series, The Expendables, and other action-packed films, shared a photo of himself on the island, with shipping containers visible in the background, hinting at a possible scene from the upcoming movie.

Mutiny, directed by Jean-Francois Richet, follows the story of Cole Reed, who is framed for the murder of his billionaire industrialist boss. According to the IMDb synopsis, the protagonist goes on the run as he seeks to uncover an international conspiracy.

The film is expected to shine a spotlight on Malta, potentially enhancing its appeal as a prime location for major film productions. Known for its stunning landscapes and rich historical sites, Malta has already served as the backdrop for several high-profile films, including Gladiator, Troy, and Game of Thrones.

Malta’s attractive tax incentives for foreign film productions further contribute to the island’s growing popularity as a filming destination.
