KM Malta Airlines has officially expanded its route network with a new direct service between Malta International Airport and iGA Istanbul Airport.
The airline will operate three weekly flights between Malta International Airport and Istanbul Airport, confirmed the Executive Chairman of KM Malta Airlines David Curmi.
The route will be served by the carrier’s Airbus A320neo fleet, offering both Business and Economy class, with a total seating capacity of 180 passengers per flight. This will provide up to 1,440 return seats per week. The service will also benefit from a code-sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines, enabling passengers to connect effortlessly to a vast network of international and domestic destinations via Istanbul.
This latest addition further strengthens KM Malta Airlines’ European network, which currently includes direct flights to key cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, and Zurich.
“Our presence in Istanbul further strengthens our ‘one stop strategy’, positioning Malta as a gateway to a world of travel opportunities. Whether for business, tourism, or connecting flights, this route opens new doors for our passengers,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
