Intensive police investigations have led to the arrest of a man linked to the sale of counterfeit goods and money laundering.

The police received information provided anonymously related to advertisements on the social media platform TikTok regarding the sale of counterfeit branded watches and the illegal installation of beacon lights and sirens on private vehicles.

After surveillance and investigations by the police, the suspect was arrested while driving an unregistered, unlicensed vehicle equipped with unauthorised beacon lights and sirens.

Following the arrest, the police searched the man’s residence, where counterfeit watches, handbags, and jewellery, along with a pepper spray canister, cash, and cloned credit cards, were found.

Additionally, further investigations revealed that he was also allegedly involved in selling counterfeit euros through cryptocurrency and had illegal business dealings involving substances and drugs on the dark web.
