The fourth edition of the Start Up Festival is set to take place on the 17th and 18th of October 2024 at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC) and the adjacent park in Ta’ Qali, Malta.
Building on the success of the past three years, this year’s festival promises to be bolder, and more innovative. The Start Up Festival has quickly become a cornerstone of Malta’s national ecosystem for startups, consistently attracting entrepreneurial talent from both local and international markets.
This year’s event shall grow by joining forces with Techxpo, a new addition to Startup Festival Malta offering several technology related experiences and an industrial innovation showcase in a dedicated area.
Past editions
In its inaugural year, the festival not only celebrated Malta’s growing startup ecosystem but also marked the 20th anniversary of the Kordin Business Incubation Centre (KBIC). Since its inception, KBIC has been a launchpad for numerous startups, nurturing them into successful ventures. The first edition of the festival highlighted these successes and set the stage for future events.
The second edition took the experience further by providing valuable opportunities for aspiring founders and facilitating crucial matchmaking sessions for advanced startups and scale-ups with local and international angel investors. This effort helped bridge the gap between innovation and investment, setting the tone for future collaborations.
The third year, saw the Start Up Festival featuring keynote speeches from renowned international guests, thought-provoking panel discussions, and the introduction of tailor-made practical workshops. An expanded exhibition space also offered a comprehensive experience for attendees. Additionally, a mindfulness area was introduced to cater to both mind and body, ensuring a holistic approach to entrepreneurship.
