The latest cohort of startups joining the Malta-based SuperCharger Ventures accelerator includes, for the first time, three local companies.

Study First Europe, a platform guiding international students; Klassifi, which provides AI services for the accountancy sector; and Verbivore, a developer of interactive, story-driven language-learning experiences, will all participate in the 12-week accelerator programme.

Companies gain access to a global network of mentors, strategic partners, and investors.

The programme is designed to help founders scale their businesses, refine their go-to-market strategies, and explore international expansion.

Through the collaboration with Malta Enterprise, participating companies are also eligible for various support measures, including grants, soft loans, and relocation assistance.

The fifth SuperCharger Ventures cohort is the largest yet, welcoming 19 innovative startups from 11 different countries.

The selection process for Cohort 5.0 was highly competitive, with a record 620 applications received, indicating a substantial increase in interest, particularly from the LATAM and North American markets.

The selected companies represent a new level of maturity for the program, with an average Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $500,000 and some participants generating up to $5 million in ARR.

Collectively, these startups have already impacted over two million users worldwide.

Iusef Hafith-Russo, Director of Accelerator Programs at SuperCharger Ventures, commented on the new cohort: “The launch of our largest and most financially mature cohort to date is a powerful validation of Malta’s potential to become a leading global hub for Education Technology.

“I am incredibly proud of what our team is building here and deeply grateful for the crucial support from our local entrepreneurs, partners, and especially Malta Enterprise. These 19 companies are not just joining an accelerator; they are becoming part of a thriving ecosystem we are committed to growing.”

Adding to the growing ecosystem, SuperCharger Ventures has also begun the process of raising Malta’s largest private fund dedicated to EdTech, a project being led by Alexander Aabol. This initiative aims to provide further capital and support for high-potential startups emerging from the accelerator and within the region.
