Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne will be spending some time in isolation after a family member tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, it was confirmed that Minister Fearne is not positive for the virus himself, but is following the health authority’s measures and will therefore be performing his duties from home.
Last Friday, Minister Fearne together with Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci addressed a press conference to announced that only vaccinated persons with a recognised certificate will be allowed entry into Malta from 14th July.
New measures were introduced in response to a recent spike in daily COVID transmissions.
