Malta’s Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs has issued a call for bids from the private sector, seeking to secure humanitarian assistance to be delivered to the people of Gaza.

The Ministry is seeking to procure three types of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) kits – menstrual hygiene management kits, acute watery diarrhoea kits, and child and newborn baby kits.

Each kit comes with certain specifications of the types of products that must be included, and the Ministry won’t accept offers that cost over €70,000 excluding VAT.

The menstrual hygiene management kits must include sanitary pads, reusable pads or menstrual underwear, along with soap, laundry powder, garbage bags, underwear, toilet paper, a water bucket, a rope for hanging clothes, and pegs.

The acute watery diarrhoea kits must include a collapsible jerrycan, a 20l bucket with lid and tap, a 14l bucker with lid, NaDCC disinfection tablets, a drinking cup, bleach, soap, a multi-detergent liquid, laundry powder, and oral rehydration salt.

The child and newborn baby kits must include disposable diapers, a feeding and drinking cup, baby soap, tears-free baby shampoo, plastic bags for domestic waste, diaper rash cream, and cotton underwear for newborns and toddlers.

Bidders have until 28th August to submit their offers.
