Minister for Transport Aaron Farrugia congratulated the founding associations for their commitment towards a move environmentally sound and sustainable industry.

Minister Farrugia reiterated Malta’s commitment towards the success of the alliance and reassured that “Malta will remain steadfast in its policy to further consolidate the quality mark in this important industry.”

Reacting to the news, Alison Vassallo, partner at Fenech and Fenech Advocates and Chairperson of the Yachting Services Business Section within the Malta Chambers, stated that this announcement, “further strengthens the role [Malta’s] jurisdiction is playing in the future modelling of the Superyacht industry.”

On the other hand, Ivan Sammut the Registrar General of Shipping and Seamen at Transport Malta remarked that the Malta Ship Registry is proud to having assisted in its establishment. “This is the beginning of a brighter future for the further development of qualifications,” he added.
