Ryanair

Ryanair has announced it will expand its Genoa route to Malta as of summer 2021.

Two weekly flights are expected to operate between Malta and the Liguria capital, situated in Northern Italy.

Aside from to Malta, Ryanair is expected to also operate flights from Genoa to Bari, Naples, and to London Stansted.

Looking to the future, Chiara Ravara, Ryanair’s Head of Sales and Marketing said that thanks to the implementation of vaccination programs, continuing in the coming months, air traffic is set to grow, and as such the airline is pleased to announce its revised schedule for summer 2021 from Genoa.

The news will be a welcome development to those in Malta’s aviation industry, who have expressed concerns about a possible decline in the air connectivity of the island, as air transport routes have been cancelled due to restrictions on travel imposed to combat the spread of COVID.
