In a strategic move to expand its presence in Malta’s rapidly developing smart home sector, Klikk has officially taken over the representation and distribution of the Aqara and Vitesy brands previously managed by DOMO Solutions, a subsidiary operated by OKTO Ventures.

This transition will allow these fast-growing brands to benefit from Klikk’s strong national retail presence, established e-commerce platform, and extensive experience in consumer technology.

According to OKTO Ventures, the decision reflects a long-term strategy to ensure these brands can scale sustainably under an operator with the infrastructure and capability to reach a wider Maltese audience.

While DOMO Solutions saw impressive traction throughout its first year, OKTO Ventures identified that the next phase of growth required a partner with broader operational reach.

Being well positioned to bring innovative smart home technologies to an even broader audience, Klikk was the natural fit.

Integrating a global smart home leader

A central factor in DOMO’s momentum has been its collaboration with Aqara, a globally recognised leader in smart home technology.

Aqara’s extensive ecosystem includes smart sensors, cameras, switches, hubs, and automation devices that empower homeowners to enhance security, energy efficiency, and everyday convenience.

Their solutions stand out for their reliability, sleek design, and seamless interoperability across devices, making them one of the most innovative and user-friendly smart home ecosystems available today.

This strong product lineup helped DOMO quickly become a trusted source for smart home technology in Malta. Under the new structure, Aqara products will now be available exclusively through Klikk Malta, ensuring customers continue to access the full range of products with improved availability and expanded support.

A note of thanks to customers

Reflecting on the journey, Isaac Gatt, Managing Director of OKTO Ventures, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the customers who supported DOMO Solutions from day one.

“Our customers have been the driving force behind DOMO’s success,” Mr Gatt said. “I want to personally thank every client for their loyalty and for choosing to trust DOMO as we introduced Aqara’s smart home technology to the Maltese market. It has been our pleasure to guide and educate customers on these innovative solutions.”

He further noted that DOMO’s rapid traction demonstrated the growing appetite in Malta for reliable, high-quality smart home solutions, highlighting a clear shift in consumer expectations toward trusted, albeit more costly, technologies rather than cheaper, generic alternatives.

What this transition means for customers

As part of the transition, both Aqara and Vitesy smart home products will now be sold exclusively through Klikk Malta; both in store and online. Customers can expect:

  • Continued access to Aqara’s full smart home ecosystem through Klikk’s e-commerce and retail outlets
  • Improved availability and nationwide accessibility
  • Continued support and after-sales service through Klikk’s well-established customer care division

The transition is designed to be seamless, ensuring no disruption to product access or customer support. DOMO’s past and existing users, will be directed to Klikk for any purchases, inquiries, or assistance going forward.

What’s next for OKTO Ventures?

Looking ahead, OKTO Ventures remains firmly focused on its mission to build and scale forward-thinking ventures within Malta and beyond. The transition of DOMO Solutions represents a strategic realignment, allowing the company to channel its resources into its next major initiative.

While details are still confidential, Mr Gatt also confirms that OKTO Ventures is preparing to unveil an exciting new venture in Q1 2026, one that is expected to shape the organisation’s direction for the coming years. More details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
