The last call for applications for measures one and two under the LEADER programme 2014–2020 was launched. The programme is financed through European funds and administered by the GAL Xlokk foundation.
These measures will be financing the preservation of the local cultural heritage in the South of Malta.
The first measure has €94,000 in European funds allocated to it, so that through this investment it can provide financial assistance to voluntary organisations registered with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations, local councils and private individuals for restoration works with which they can preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the localities in the South of Malta.
The second measure has €135,000 in European funds allocated to it and aims to provide the support needed to strengthen the work of voluntary organisations in the cultural sector.
Through this measure, voluntary organisations will be able to invest in infrastructure or buy equipment, machinery, instruments and resources for training in the arts, music and sports amongst others.
Applications must be submitted to the GAL Xlokk Office in Ħal Qormi by no later than Wednesday, 3rd February 2021 at noon. For more information please call on: 20998008, or email at: info@galxlokk.com, or visit the website: www.galxlokk.com.
