Billionaire entrepreneur and Twitter owner Elon Musk has asked his 122 million followers on Twitter to vote on his future as head of the platform.
In a poll, he tweeted: Should I step down as head of Twitter. I will abide by the results of this poll.
The poll has already garnered over 17 million votes, with 57.5 per cent asking the billionaire to step down, as at noon on Monday (today).
Mr Musk, who is known as the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, famously took over Twitter this year, attracting staunch criticism for how the platform was acquired and run since then.
Indeed, he took control of Twitter in October for $44 billion (€41.5 billion) following a highly public legal battle.
In the past, Mr Musk has obeyed Twitter polls.
