As of this month (July 2023), Epic Malta is increasing the number of eligible countries falling under its Traveller and new Data Traveller services from 76 to 150 countries.

The company aims to give its customers the freedom to travel to most countries without worrying about excessive charges.

“Whether you’re embarking on a well-deserved remote beach holiday or running a business from far flung corners of the world, Epic has you covered,” said the company.

Based on a recent report by Malta Communications Authority (MCA), Epic’s own estimations show that the operator’s customers make calls and use data significantly more when abroad than customers of the other two providers.

Epic interprets this as a sign of trust and satisfaction with the company’s roaming services. By doubling the number of countries with favourable roaming rates, the company sees itself fulfilling its ethos of providing unparalleled value becoming more tangible.

Giving an example of streaming a 100MB video while on holiday in Tunisia, Epic explained that under market rates a consumer would be left with a bill of upward €600, while with their service, the same usage would only cost consumers €6.99.

Epic’s chief marketing officer Karl Galea said, “as the biggest mobile operator on the island, and supported by our international background, Epic is able to offer an unparalleled roaming experience that underlines our commitment to provide our customers a truly great network coverage and unbeatable value.”

The company has prioritised giving its customers a smooth user experience. It explained that when their customers are in one of the eligible counties, both Traveller and Data Traveller services are automatically activated, to ensure that they enjoy the value rates seamlessly.

Epic said that their customers can say goodbye to dreaded sky-high fees when streaming videos or making calls while abroad and that they can enjoy seamless connectivity without breaking the bank.
