Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition Leader Alex Borg are set to face off in two live debates that have so far been announced, one on the 19th of May and the other on the 25th of May.
The two leaders are on the campaign trail in the lead up to the general election, with voting set to take place on 30th May.
While political parties have begun issuing their proposals for the next legislature over the past days, this is the first debate between the two leaders to be announced.
The Malta Chamber of SMEs announced that on 19th May it will be organising the “Leaders for SMEs debate”, during which Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition Leader Alex Borg will participate in what it described as a discussion with Maltese businesses.
Members of the Malta Chamber of SMEs are invited to register.
The Malta Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a live debate on the 25th of May, where the two leaders will put “their manifesto proposals for the business community under the spotlight.” The debate will be moderated by Head of Communications and Media Strategy at The Malta Chamber, Rachel Bondin Attard.
The Malta Chamber has invited its members “to be part of the conversation,” and to register.
