The JUEL Group’s Hyatt Centric Malta hotel was officially inaugurated over the weekend by Prime Minister Robert Abela and Tourism Minister Jo Etienne Abela.
Located on Triq Santu Wistin in St Julian’s, the hotel features 170 rooms, including 22 suites, a rooftop pool, a spa and wellness centre.
The Prime Minister remarked that the hotel reflects the evolution of Malta’s tourism industry toward personalised and authentic experiences. He praised the JUEL Group team for their ambition and commitment, stressing that the Government remains dedicated to supporting investments that create quality jobs and enhance Malta’s tourism product.
The official opening also shows that Malta is continuing to attract international brands, he said.
JUEL Group director Adrian Muscat said that government-led reforms in the tourism sector are helping to strengthen the industry. He thanked Hyatt for its trust, which made it possible to bring this renowned brand to Malta.
Established in 2022 as a holding company, the JUEL Group brings together a growing portfolio across property development, rentals, and also in hospitality, with the Hyatt Centric being its main hospitality venture.
Average spend per tourist during their stay saw a slight decline.
