Content House unequivocally condemns Mark Camilleri and his website, The Maltese Herald, for publishing an article containing malicious statements and defamatory claims. The company reserves all rights to take legal action.

The article rests on the assertion that Content House, together with “most Maltese media houses”, has “laundered the reputation” of an international company which Mr Camilleri alleges is under investigation by accepting to publish sponsored content by this company.

While several leading and respected Maltese media organisations have indeed published (what appears to be) sponsored content from this company, to date no credible local or international news organisation has reported that this specific company is under investigation or accused of any wrongdoing. Locally, such allegations originate from Mr Camilleri and his website.

This is the second article in a month in which Mr Camilleri and his website have attacked local media for publishing sponsored content related to this international company.

On 17th September, Camilleri targeted Malta Today and The Malta Independent, alleging that the company had embarked on a PR campaign through the publication of sponsored content in these media outlets.

Today, Mr Camilleri and The Maltese Herald wrote a second article and singled out Content House in what can only be described as a malicious and arbitrary attack. Content House categorically rejects these false claims and stresses that it will not be intimidated by such reckless reporting.

Content House further emphasises that it is one of the few local media companies that operates a structured onboarding process for new clients. This process includes rigorous due diligence and vetting, coupled with continuous monitoring of credible and reputable media coverage.

Finally, the company notes that it has consistently declined to onboard clients who failed its due diligence checks and it will not hesitate to cease collaboration with an existing client if formal procedures or credible media reports arise against them.
