Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Italy and non-resident Ambassador to Malta Abdulla Alsubousi convened a high-level business roundtable during his recent visit to Malta.

The event brought together leading Maltese business executives, investors, and institutional stakeholders to explore expanding trade and investment channels.

During the roundtable, Ambassador Abdulla Alsubousi presented the opportunities offered by the UAE’s ecosystem in strategic sectors – including green energy, logistics, technology, and tourism. The session served as an interactive platform where representatives from attending Maltese companies shared their ongoing projects, market interests, and specific operational needs, laying a concrete foundation for joint ventures and enhanced bilateral trade, a statement by the embassy read.

During his official institutional visit to Malta, he met with Prime Minister Robert Abela, where they focused on exploring strategic economic partnerships between the United Arab Emirates and Malta.

High-level bilateral talks continued with the Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Chris Fearne, Minister for Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, and the Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the parliament, John Grech, addressing regional stability, trade expansion, and promoting economic initiatives, the embassy said.
