University of Malta (UoM) has been ranked in the top 7.6 per cent of universities worldwide, its highest position in seven years.
The institution, ranked 1,622nd out of 21,462 institutions according to the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR).
That places University of Malta as the 553rd in Europe and retains its position as Malta’s top higher education institution.
CWUR publishes the world’s largest academic rankings of global universities and is widely regarded for its objectivity, transparency, and consistency, which are trusted by students, academics, university administrators, and governments from around the world.
A ranking in the CWUR brings “prestige to the University of Malta as it reflects strong performance in key areas such as education quality, alumni employment, and research output”, a statement from UoM read.
Being listed signifies the institution’s global visibility and credibility for international students, academics, and partners about the quality and recognition of the university.
